| Choosing exposure for effect-what is good for you? | ||||
| It is not always important to go for the technically correct exposure. sometimes a photographer which is lighter or darker than the original may look more apealing. This may not be done in a situation where actual reproduction of colours is important and relation to the actual product or scene is critical as in product buying catalogues. However, otherwise it is more important that the photograph should look nice rather look realistic. That does not mean that it gets surealistic but the subject may appear darker or lighter for better for bettre visual effect. somephotographers as a normal practice keep their exposure 1/4th of a stop underexposed for deeper and saturated colours. | ||||
