Nikon SB 800 on D300 with nikkor 24mm lens

Nikon flashs are very easy to work with. The controls are placed just at the right place on the camera body and one doesnot have to go to the custom settings to change the settings. The flash mode can be very quickly changed from normal to slow or to rear curtain synchronisation.

Every thing is same as in the picture above except that the flash mode has been changed to AA from TTL. This has resulted in better exposure. However in both the shots the outdoor background is quite well balanced.

while staying in the aperture priority mode, the aperture has been closed down to f20. Since sb800 is a dedicated flash the exposure on the subject stays correct. the outdoor where the flash light is not reaching is a little under exposed/ deeper. Or the background is rather brighter in the first two shots.
